Appellate Practice
Those same qualities make us an effective advocate in the courts of appeals, whether defending our victories, or challenging adverse rulings, in the trial courts below. Recognizing our ability to grasp quickly essential facts of even the most complex and challenging cases, many clients, over the past decade, have hired us to represent them on appeal. Many times our lawyers have the added insight and perspective on appeal that comes from also being the trial counsel.
Criminal Defense
Austin & Laurato, P.A. has a state-wide criminal practice that includes defending individuals through trial. One of the firm’s partners, Michael V. Laurato, has defended some complex and high profile clients involved in prominent federal and state criminal cases, including large bank, medical, and tax cases. The firm has also represented clients in civil forfeiture proceedings stemming from alleged criminal.
